A brand new version of Give Me A Sign was recorded at the start of 2000 with Japanese vocalist Crystal Kay. Originally a version was recored in English and was set to be the second single from Metamorphoses, before Tout est Bleu was decided as the single instead. However there were plans for the track still to be used and for a version to be recorded in Japanese by Crystal Kay.
The plan was for the Japanese version of the track to be included on the Japanese release of Metamorphoses as a bonus track, with a single also to be released in Japan and South East Asia which would include both Japanese and English version sung by Crystal Kay. However it seemed there was a disagreement with the meaning of the Japanese lyrics for the song and the recording was never completed. The English version was pressed in a extremely limited batch onto CDR, which is very rare to find. It now appears that the track will never see light of day and will join the other versions of Give Me A Sign which were recorded in 1999 in view to be released on the Metamorphoses album (there is ever a version of the track with a German Operatic singer performing).
