Jean Michel Jarre's recent trip to China with the French ministre of culture Jean-Jacques Aillagon, French actors Jacques Perrin and Nathalie Baye, is featured in the current issue of Paris-Match (N°2847 - 17/12/2003) and La Libre Match (N°118 - 17/12/2003).
The one page article includes a photo of the French committee at the Opera of Peking, while the report reveals Jean Michel Jarre has been asked by French president Jacques Chirac to hold a giant concert for October 2004 in Peking.
Plans for the concert (to celebrate to opening of the Year of France in the Asian country) is taking shape, as Jean Michel Jarre has already travelled to Peking in November accompanied by Valérie Terranova, Chirac's personal adviser of international cultural matters, and he will visit the Chinese capital again in January with his fiancée, Isabelle Adjani.
The Chinese president Hu Jinto will visit Paris on 27 January 2004, when the Eiffel Tower will be completely illuminated in red for the occasion.
