The two remaining finalists of A La Recherche d'une Nouvelle Star (the French Pop Idol contest organised by French TV station M6 and its Belgian partner RTL), have been asked to choose two songs to be released as a single in the following weeks / days.

Thierry, the French finalist from Marseille who ended in second place, has chosen Les Mots Bleus, a song which Jean Michel Jarre wrote for the French singer Christophe in 1974. The single has already been recorded and is supposed to be released in the coming weeks by BMG.

Other cover versions of Les Mots Bleus (one of the most played 'slows' in France since 30 years) have previously been recorded by Alain Bashung, Amina, Pascal Obispo, Faubert, K-Reen, Frédéric Chateau, and let's not forget the version sung live by Charlotte Rampling for Jean Michel Jarre in the French TV show C'est Votre Vie in 1994.
