Jean Michel Jarre is currently in Denmark in order to 'sell' his idea of the Windmill Concert (click link to see archived news items) in Aalborg, Denmark. A meeting of potential sponsors will be held tomorrow in Aalborg, in the presence of Jean Michel. We will let you know the outcome of the meeting.

Despite the original deadline of having sponsorship being secured by mid-November, things have been delayed considerably. A change of Danish government has not helped matters, with the new administration voted into power in November. The new government are not too enthusastic about the project, in contrast to the previous government, who was far more positive.

However this does not mean the project is dead, if enough private sponsors are found for the concert, then the project seems to be most definitely on. The local government in Aalborg are very positive about the concert, it now seems the big question remaining to be answered is about funding.

Despite articles appearing in some publications in December, such as The Sunday Times and Record Collector, which stated the event was scheduled for Spring 2002, the plan is for two concerts to be held in September 2002. Dates being talked about the moment are Friday 6th/Saturday 7th September or Sunday 8th/Monday 9th September.
