PATRICK RONDAT ALBUMS RE-RELEASED
by revo on 15/01/2002.

The first two studio albums by guitar legend Patrick Rondat have finally been re-released today in France on CD. Both Just For Fun (originally released 1989) and Rape of the Earth (originally released 1991) have been remastered, contain bonus tracks, and even CD-ROM content with guitar lessons from Patrick himself (for all you budding axe players out there!)

Click here for other Patrick Rondat albums available at amazon.fr - Amphibia from 1996 was produced by Jean Michel Jarre and included an excellent cover version of Jarre's Equinoxe 4 and Vivaldi Tribute, played at Concert for Tolerance in 1995 and Akropolis in 2001. Amphibia Tour contains live versions of both Equinoxe 4 and Vivaldi Tribute.

In case any of you are thinking of the Jarre relevance to this news, it was back in December 1991 when Patrick saw Jean Michel at an Extreme concert at Le Zénith in Paris, but did not have the courage at the time to approach him. Annoyed at himself, he decided the next day to send his press kit and CD discography to Jarre's record label Disques Dreyfus. After approx. three weeks, Patrick received a call from Jean Michel, who was particularly impressed with Rape of the Earth, and the rest they say is history! Patrick last worked with Jean Michel at the Akropolis shows in Athens last year.

If you are only going to buy one guitar album, then make sure it is Rape of the Earth, a masterpiece. Make sure to visit the official Patrick Rondat website, rondat.com.
