MAKING THE STEAMROLLER FLY ON UK SATELLITE/CABLE TV
by revo on 04/01/2002.

Making the Steamroller Fly, the documentary produced by Aubrey Powell (at the time of Oxygen in Moscow in 1997) about Jean Michel Jarre, is currently being shown on UK satellite/cable TV station Performance Channel.

Already shown on Thursday 3rd January, the program is repeated on a few occassions on Sunday 6th January (click for the program schedule).

Most UK fans probably already own the Oxygen in Moscow video (if not, then buy it on VHS PAL, VHS NTSC or DVD), which includes the same documentary. However the TV version should contain a few minutes extra footage that was dropped from the video release, a section talking about Rendez-vous Lyon in 1986 and the strange atmosphere in the area at the time due to the trial of Klaus Barbie being held at the same time.

The week after the same channel will broadcast Oxygen in Moscow as well, which should be identical to the version released on video in 1998 (click for the program schedule).

Thanks to Paul Mason for the information.
