LE PRINTEMPS DE BOURGES PERFORMANCE
by revo on 15/04/2002.

Jean Michel Jarre performed at Le Printemps de Bourges last Friday, in what he described as his smallest concert ever (click here to see article from Friday). Just over 100 people witnessed the four track, 45 minute show at the Palais Jacques Coeur, in which Jean Michel performed tracks relating to the shows theme of the history of electronic music and musique concrete.

The four tracks featured included; an excerpt of AOR, entitled Blue, (originally composed when Jean Michel Jarre was a student at GRM in the late 1960s); the track Metamorphoses (originally called Crazy Saturday and was planned for release on the Metamorphoses album - more information soon - with the track also featuring at Global Tekno 2000 in Avignon); and two brand new tracks especially composed for the event, being in a more abstract/jazzy style mixed with a heavy beat.

A full review of the show will feature on here during this week, as well as an exclusive photo gallery from the performance.

A note to fans who surfed on here during Friday and followed our live SMS reports. Sadly, the service on Friday did hit some technical problems beyond our control, with some messages initially not arriving. However, a whole backlog of messages filtered through to our system late Saturday night, with delivery delays in excess of 30 hours. It has become apparent that the problem was down to the network that the SMS system uses. We apologise that this happened on the day itself and next time we will use a different and more reliable network ;-)
