JARRELOOK REVIEW - PRESTON - FRIDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2001
by revo on 27/01/2002.

A well filled Preston Guild Hall witnessed the latest concert from UK tribute band Jarrelook on Friday 30th November 2001. The concert was split into two acts, each lasting approximately one hour and consisiting a variety of tracks from Jean Michel Jarre's career to date. Highlights included the Equinoxe suite, Millions of Stars, Hypnose (composition before Oxygene was released) and Akropolis.

Track listing:

  • Bells

  • Chronologie Part 4

  • The impressive set-up included video screens, laser projections and pyrotechnics (including silver glitter, annoying if you was underneath it when it went off!) The laser projections and pyrotechnics in particular were very impressive.

Here are some pictures from the gig, as ever click on the small thumbnail to get a larger picture.

Overall the concert was a great success, in the band's second ever live performance. Naturally, not everything went as smoothly as planned, but the more experience the band receives will translate into even better shows. Here's to the future of Jarrelook.
