J'TE FLASHE, J'TE LOVE
by mlp on 16/12/2001.

As reported back in October, the next few months would see Jean Michel Jarre involved in various projects, which is being viewed as experimental, before works begins properly on the next studio album. These projects have included Interior Music for Bang & Olufsen, jingles for new TV channel Match-TV, etc. The adventure continues, with details of the latest project, which will be released to the general public !

Jean Michel Jarre has composed the music for the first single of French comedian Pierre Palmade, entitled, 'J'te Flashe, J'te Love'. The single also sees the return of Jean Michel Jarre and Patrick Juvet working together, after an absence of 24 years ! Juvet has written the lyrics for the single. Both Jarre and Juvet collaborated on various projects in the 1970's, including the French disco hit 'Où Sont les Femmes ?'

The single will be released on CD-Single on Wednesday 26th December (a late gift from Père Noël ?) and apparently a vinyl single will be released tomorrow, Monday 17th December, according to on-line retailer FNAC. Both items are available to purchase on-line from FNAC - click here for the CD-Single and click here for the vinyl single.

A special TV broadcast dedicated to Pierre Palmade will be premiered on French TV-channel France 3, on Tuesday 18th December at 20h50 (CET). The program presented by Mireille Dumas (who interviewed Jarre for her show Vie Privée Vie Publique earlier this year) will include excerpts of the recording of the track by Jarre, Juvet and Palmade.

Do not be surprised if the music is something you have heard before ! ;-)

More details about this project to follow, so keep an eye out for more infos soon !
