JEAN MICHEL JARRE IN LATEST ISSUE OF GALA
by revo on 05/12/2001.

The latest issue of Gala (issue 442 - 29th November - 5th December) features a huge 22 page article about the gastronomic capital of France, Lyon.

Of course no article on Lyon would be complete without some comment from one of it's famous sons, Jean Michel Jarre. Two pages of the article is dedicated to Jean Michel Jarre who talks about his upbringing in Lyon with his Grandparents and his top five places in Lyon, which are:

  • Lyon Opéra
  • Tête-d'Or Park
  • Vénissieux Quarter
  • Les Bouchons - famous style of restaurants in Lyon
  • Les Traboules - unique kind of passages throughout Lyon, read more at Vieux-Lyon.com (French only)

Also featured is a brief mention of Rendez-vous Lyon (although the journalist is under the impression that the show was staged in the early 90's - whoops) and one photo of Jean Michel rehearsing at the show with the Dynacord. An up-to-date studio picture of Jean Michel Jarre is also featured, along with many photos from the city of Lyon. All in all, a very interesting article.

Please note that this issue of the magazine was released last week, so it may only be possible to order the magazine as a back issue from the publishers.

Thanks to Sophie Jehaes for the information.
